Rutenberg is not just a meat restaurant in the north of Israel, but a cultural, local, culinary experience. Located in the Valley of Springs, against the landscapes of Jordan, and situated in a historic building with a wonderful history, Rutenberg restaurant offers fresh, seasonal food, including some recipes which are, according to the owners, more than 800 years old. The menu features extensive use of local regional products with fresh and seasonal crops from the garden surrounding the restaurant. Start with winter root, sunflower seed cream, celery, foraged greens next to a smoked duck with cauliflower cream, lemon & parsley, beetroot & anise puree. It is highly recommended to pair the entire meal with wines selected from the extensive menu of local and foreign wines. Continue with nose to tail Duck (cut of the day) - a refreshing and uncommon option in the Israeli menu, or go for the drumfish fillet in butter & sage with sautéed mallow, fennel, yoghurt. At the end, do yourself a favor and choose the hot Valençay cheese with honeycomb and fresh Za'atar, it made our day!
