Ramesses is located in the heart of the Yaffo flea market. With its large wood tables and terrace and relaxed, efficient staff, the vibe is incredibly warm and dynamic. Ramesses Maand sbaha, or their homemade houmous is well seasoned, and served just right with a brown hardboiled egg, onions and pimento. A good opener to share, it is simple, spicy and creamy, and is meant to be enjoyed with the tasty, fresh pita. The homemade smoked herring which are also very simple are perfectly seasoned with exactly the right amount of salt. The veal sweet bread is deliciously tender. The pepper explodes in your mouth without masking the flavors of the tomato and onions and sweet bread. Very successful, it is only simple in appearance. The chocolate mousse, an often neglected classic, is a talented achievement and made with good quality chocolate, the right amount of sugar, and the addition of crumble for a bit of crunch, along with salted caramel for extra pleasure. This place uses excellent quality, little transformed ingredients, and a fairly limited menu. The food is simple but without concession when it comes to taste.
