Puaa, located in the Shuk Hapishpishim of Yaffo, is both a beautiful antique shop and a restaurant. The vintage furniture on sale is often an unmatched mix but it is harmonious. The atmosphere is warm and joyful. The menu is right in sync with the environment: a jumble of inspirations, classic, rustic or re-adapted. The green and coral lentil salad, is perfectly cooked and served on a bed of red tehina. It is smooth, light, and refreshing thanks to the generous use of herbs. The moussaka surprises with quinoa, adding an original, pleasant texture, but we would have liked a bit of salt or cheese to bring out the flavors. The cheese cake is a lovely surprise and a hybrid between Ashkenaze cheesecake and American cheesecake. It is airy, authentic, and very enjoyable. The place is so comfortable with its cozy couches taking you back a few decades that we could spend hours here sipping tea. We appreciate the freshness of the products and the excellent value for the money.
