The ambiance at Machneyuda, where the waitresses are also dancers and DJs, recalls the souk. The chalkboard features a selection of daily wines served by the glass and a tempting, generous tasting menu comprised of two trays of three starters, polenta (served in a jar between starters and the main courses), a fish dish, a meat dish, dessert and mint tea! Both sets of starters are original with fish tartar and marinated or grilled meat dishes (including tongue): the dishes are perfectly cooked and wisely accompanied. The platter of meat (lamb and beef) is remarkable in terms of the cooking, the seasoning, and the choice of sides including a subtle association of white vegetables. The dessert plate is an excellent refreshingly light end to this tasty meal. Machneyuda is a very attractive establishment, where the menu changes daily depending on market availability. Only seasonal ingredients are used, the dishes are skillful, perfectly controlled and generous without un-necessary flourishes. Here you really get your money’s worth!
